Immigration Evaluations System for Therapists is a Live Webinar provided in two sessions scheduled from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2025, and 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Friday, August 8, 2025. This course offers 7 CEUs.

Target Audience:. This course is ideal for licensed mental health professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and counselors, who are interested in expanding their practice to include immigration evaluations or enhancing their existing skills in this specialized area. It is also ideal for mental health practitioners who are looking for an additional source of income.
The topics discussed are the following: 1. Why do we have immigration evaluations? 2. Core Immigration Evaluation Sections 3. Hardship Evaluations 4. Victims of Crime ( U Visa Evaluations) 5. VAWA 6. Asylum 7. T Visa 8. Marketing 9. Customer Service Training.
Program learning objectives:
1) Hardship Evaluations: Immigration Mental Health evaluators will be
able to understand the elements of hardship and the totality of the circumstances determination while evaluating the mental health impact of the separation or possible separation from their loved ones.
2) U Visa: Evaluators will attain comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to perform and execute U Visa Immigration Mental Health Evaluations with an ethical understanding of the legal basis for the immigration benefit sought.
3) VAWA: Evaluators will assess the psychological impact of the violence suffered by the client through their partner or child. By providing the necessary testing tools and understanding the burden of proof, evaluators will conduct ethical, culturally competent evaluations.
4) Asylum: Evaluators will be able to assess the client on symptomatology and assess the credibility of the client and the client‘s claim.
5) T Visa: Evaluators will demonstrate ethical knowledge in order to understand the legal basis for the T Visa application. Evaluators will be able to assess and conduct a culturally competent mental health evaluation.

It is recommended that clinicians be licensed to conduct immigration evaluations.

Attendance Policy: Certificates will not be issued to those who arrive later than 15 minutes or leave early from any course scheduled time.
Templates will be distributed the day before each session. Slides used in the training will be distributed after session two is complete.
Start and End Times: Training will begin promptly at 9 am and conclude at 2 pm PT for session 1 Session 2 will begin promptly at 9 AM and conclude at 2 PM PST. 1- 15 minute coffee break per session is scheduled

3. A record of attendance will be kept for a period of 5 years after the date of completion of the course.
4. Participants will receive a certificate of completion the day the course has been completed.
5. A feedback questionnaire will be completed after the last session. Please complete it within 72 hours.
